Landscape architecture contribution to this International Design Competition was integral to the Project Team being awarded equal First Prize. The open space planning and urban design for the project required developing dynamic landscape features with environmentally sustainable outcomes for the island. Landscape design features included a central water feature linked with a canal system forming the basis of the island stormwater system, earth mound focal point, individually themed landscape character for the residential, commercial, institutional and resort and park precincts.
